After several years of using my beloved Make Up Forever Mat Velvet Foundation, I decided I wanted to try something new. I was feeling bored with my makeup routine so I went to Sephora to ask for help.
Once I got to Sephora, the girl who helped me recommended MUFE's Ultra HD Stick Foundation since I happen to have dry skin and that foundation is moisturizing. She applied it on my face and my final look was exactly what I wanted so I purchased it.
I noticed things I didn't like about it that same night. First of all, Im used to just putting on foundation without having to set it with a powder yet with this foundation I didn't even have a choice... I HAD to set it with powder. I would touch my face very gently and suddenly I had my finger full of foundation. This is not something I'm used to so I figured maybe the girl at Sephora just applied way too much of it.
I was wrong. The next day I applied very little of it on my face and even set it with some powder, and it was still coming off with basically any little thing I would do. I couldn't believe it. I wanted so much to love this foundation because it was so easy to apply since it's a stick foundation but after two weeks I knew I had to return it.
The foundation was around $43 and very convenient when it came to the application, but once it came to actually spreading it around my face there were some issues.
I usually apply my foundation with a damp makeup sponge but for some reason every time I tried doing that with this foundation it would seriously erase the foundation that have been applied, I was basically taking off my foundation instead of spreading it which I thought was very weird so I had to spread it with a dry sponge(super weird).
Do I recommend? Nope. Maybe other people got good results from this foundation but I really don't see how.
Would I buy again? No way. I couldn't even hug my boyfriend when I had this foundation on because it would stick to his clothes. I would never buy again.

Philosophy's Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser
A good facial cleanser is essential in every woman's life, that's why I have gone through so many in search for the best one.
I started using Philosophy's Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser a couple weeks ago just to try it out since I have heard so many good things about it. Unlike many facial cleansers, this one is not just for certain parts of the face but even for your eyes. I thought that was cool because usually facial cleansers warn users not to cleanse the eye area because it may cause irritation.
I want to mention that I am currently still in love with my Pacifica cleanser which is why I feel so awful for liking this Philosophy cleanser so much, it feels like a betrayal but I can't help it.
The consistency is like a watered down cream as opposed to the usual gel-like consistency. The smell is nice and not too strong, and your face feels amazing after you wash it off.
Overall, this cleanser really lives up to the hype. I get it now.
Would I buy again? Pretty sure I will.
Would I recommend? Of course. I think everyone would love it.

Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick
I had been hearing a lot about Kat Von D makeup for a long time before I decided to just go for it and purchase lipstick. Thanks to Sephora which lets us try makeup on before buying it, I was able to try on the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and fell in love.
I ended up purchasing it in the color L.U.V. ($20) which is a color between magenta and purple, I had never owned a color other than the typical pink/red ones but this was seriously such a pretty color that works for everybody that I said "why not!"
The application is easy for those who use lipsticks often, for me it was a little complicated because the color is so deep and it sets fast. The lipstick is matte so when applying it you have to be careful if you mess up. If you make a mistake and you don't clean it off immediately the stain will be harder to take off. After I mastered the whole applying process I noticed another issue I had with it, it highlights the dryness in your lips. It's important to exfoliate and have your lips as soft and healthy as possible.
I loved this lipstick regardless so I tried buying it in the color Bauhau5 which is a magenta color, super pretty. Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks its pretty since it was sold out at both the Sephora locations in the RGV for months. I ended up ordering it online instead and loved it so much when I finally got it. (The color is currently sold out even on the website.)
Would I buy again? I'm probably gonna purchase another color soon.
Would I recommend? Absolutely, there are so many colors i'm sure everyone can find a color they like.

Laura Geller's Love me Dew Moisturizing Lip Crayon
Last week I attended BeautyCon Dallas thanks to my friend who won tickets for it and chose me to go with her. I was so surprised to find out we each got our own tote bags filled with beauty and hair products from so many different brands, one of the things I loved the most was that I got Laura Geller's lip crayon in there.
I had heard of Laura Geller but I never really gave it much thought since I already had enough lipsticks. Well, I just want to say this lip crayon is amazing and different from others I've had from other brands.
First of all, applying it is so easy, it feels like you're applying chapstick (but much prettier) and if you make a mistake you can easily wipe it off without having a stain afterward. It doesn't really have a smell which I liked. It is not greasy but it gives more of a moisturized feeling just like the name says.
Now, one thing that stood out for me was that hours after I applied this lip crayon, obviously it wears off. Turns out the only thing that wears off is the "glossy" part, I was surprised at the end of the night to find the color on my lips was intact since I honestly thought it was completely gone.
Overall, this lip crayon is way better than others I have tried(NARS).
Would I recommend? Absolutely.
Would I buy again? Yes. I honestly just want to buy all the colors it comes with.

Peripera Peri's Tint Water
If you haven't already noticed, I love lip stains. They are so convenient and long lasting that I decided it would be fun to just try as many as possible and find the best one. One of the other one's I have tried is the Peripera Peri's Tint Water which is a Korean lip stain.
I got this lip stain thanks to an awesome friend who gave it to me and I seriously love it. The application is very easy and it seriously lasts such a long time. The product is sold for $12 at Sephora and to be honest it sounds like a steal for the amount of product that it comes with.
If I had to choose between Benetint and this lip stain I would definitely choose this one, it lasts longer and it is way easier to apply.
Would I buy again? I would buy this product if I finish the one I have right now,
Would I recommend? Yes, it is the best one I have tried so far.

Tony Moly's I'M Real Aloe Mask Sheet
Everyone hates dry skin, lately I had been suffering with that so I looked for something quick and effective at my local Ulta.
What I found was Tony Moly's I'M Real Aloe Mask Sheet, I love sheet masks so as soon as I saw it I knew I would probably love it.

I paid around $4 for it and I think it's a really good price compared to other sheet masks that sell for at least $8 and give the same results.
This line of sheet masks carries many different types with a ton of different extracts, I chose the mask with Aloe Vera because I have heard it's great for deep moisturizing.
What I did was I washed my face first and then placed the sheet mask on my face for 30 minutes which is the longest you should leave it on. After the 30 minutes passed I removed the mask and gently massaged the remaining product on my skin just like I do with my regular moisturizer.
I loved this sheet mask because it made my skin feel refreshed and softer. The next day I could really see the difference in my skin which did not look as dry as it did before the mask.
Do I recommend? Yes, it does what it says it will.
Would I buy again? Probably, but I would save it for a special occasion not just for everyday use.

Asepxia's Gel Facial Secante Anti-Imperfecciones
Like many college students, stress causes me to get acne, this led me to buying many different products to get rid of those facial imperfections.
After buying way too many different products and getting mediocre results, I came across this gel which surprisingly actually works!
I was hesitant about it because it is a VERY popular product in Mexico and I have always been let down by popular acne medications like Proactive (it did not work for me.)
I got my hands on this product thanks to my mom who brought it back from Mexico several weeks ago and I am so happy with it because the results are very quick.
I also love the fact that the gel is in the color of foundation so it blends with your makeup and can be worn at any time without people noticing that you have it on.
The first time I used it at night I woke up the following day seeing results.
The smell is kind of nice and it is easy to work with because its not too runny or too thick.
Do I recommend this product? Yes, If I can get results then I'm pretty sure everyone will.
Would I buy again? Of course. If it ever runs out (it lasts a very long time.)

Mario Badescu's Super Collagen Mask
Recently I have suffered from dry skin and no matter how much moisturizer I used it would never go away, so I decided to head to Ulta and search for a solution.
What I found was this mask that promises to moisturize your skin and even brighten it, I was sold after reading many good reviews (because I hardly ever buy anything without reading reviews first.)
I had never heard of Mario Badescu's products but they looked promising. The mask cost $18, most of the other masks in his line are around the same price.
I was so anxious to try this mask that I used it the same day that I got it before going to bed.
The instruction on the bottle say to apply a thin layer to a clean face and let sit for 20 minutes before washing it off.
A few things I noticed: the texture, it feels like a clay mask and starts drying maybe around 8 seconds after applying to your face so it's important that you work fast.
A little bit goes a long way, the instructions say to apply a THIN layer.. I know sometimes we get desperate and we think if we apply more product our problem will be fixed faster but it really isn't true, so just stick to the instructions and don't waste product.
While reading reviews I noticed a lot of people saying it was difficult to take off but I honestly don't see how that's happening to them. I find it easy to wash off, obviously any mask that has to be washed off is already annoying to anyone so it should be expected that you will spend time washing it off. What works for me is I pat my face lightly with water and wait a few seconds, then I actually begin washing it off, this helps soften the product.
After using this mask for 2 weeks straight I noticed brighter, softer skin.
Would I buy this product again? Although I have seen many positive results, I want to keep using it and see if it gives even better results. After every use my skin feels better and better so perhaps after a month I will be able to answer this question, but for now I'm leaning more toward a yes.
Would I recommend? Yes, anyone who has stubborn dry skin will see great benefits from using this product.

Pacifica's Kale Detox
Ever since I started wearing makeup I have made it my mission to find the best makeup remover out there. I have tried just about everything, but I always seem to have some residue.
I decided to try the Kale Detox Deep Cleaning And Face Wash mostly because it was only $10 at Ulta and for some reason that seemed cheap at the time.
First of all this face wash includes a toner so it already is awesome because i didn't have to buy a toner separately, it has an okay smell.. I guess it just smells like kale and herbs. The consistency is great and it foams when applying it, for the first time I could see my makeup actually dripping off my face even before I rinsed, I was a fan since my first use.
I definitely think this is one of the best facial cleansers, it leaves skin glowing and soft, and my face feels so much healthier.
Would I buy again? Absolutely, this is now my go-to makeup remover.
Do I recommend to everyone? Yes! I think even if you don't wear a lot of makeup it still helps keep your face in great condition.

Berrisom Lip Tint
I have a confession, I have recently been super obsessed with everything (South) Korean.
This began when I clicked the wrong TV Show on Netflix and ended up clicking on a K-Drama called Boys Over Flowers, at first I noticed the cheesiness.. then I noticed I couldn't stop watching it. Since the K-Dramas I've watched are only 15-23 episodes long, it seems like the perfect show to watch. K-Drama after K-Drama I slowly chose my favorites (Cunning Single Lady, Birth of a Beauty and Oh My Venus) and then I started feeling interested in K-Pop... then I started loving the makeup. And now we are here, with a new obsession with K-Beauty.
One thing I noticed that was blowing up a couple of weeks ago was Berrisom's Lip Tint, which is a lipstick that we put on very carefully, wait 15-20 minutes, we peel it off and we have lipstick for the next 12 hours without having to retouch!
The moment I read about it I knew I had to have it, so last week I ordered a pack with six different colors on www.memebox.com and waited anxiously to try them on.
I have to say I expected a Korean product to take a long time to arrive at my house, but it actually took 5 days! I also did not have to pay for shipping or taxes. I paid $32 for 6 lipsticks that sell for $9 each so it seemed like a good price.
It is important to know that the package had all the instructions in Korean so in order to know the steps, looking up the instructions online would be a good idea.
The first thing I did after getting them in the mail was try the colors on my arm..
What I noticed was that the consistency is VERY thick and can be hard to work with, the smell is not terrible and for some reason peeling it is an awesome feeling.
My model tried the color Virgin Red..
The lipsticks are awesome and we both loved it but it's very important to put them on carefully, i use a lipstick brush for applying just so I can be more precise.
Would I buy again? YES! I really fell in love with them because I don't like to put on lipstick every few hours, I would rather put it on once and not worry about it.
Is the price worth it? Definitely, obviously cheaper is always a good thing but sometimes we need to realize we get what we pay for.
Since this post is about everything Korean, I will end this by sharing with you all my current favorite K-Pop song, instead of the actual music video it is a live performance.

Does Benetint work?
Hi guys! This week I decided to review a product that I have been using for several months now; Benetint.

I got this product at Sephora but I have also seen it at Ulta and many online stores, the price for it is around $30-$32 and even though it might seem expensive I have to say it is worth it because it lasts a very long time even if it is used every day. Personally, I use it around 3-4 times a week since 5 months ago and I still have over half the bottle left.
What this product does is it works as both a lip tint and a blush, it promises to be long lasting and smudge proof.
The packaging really resembles a nail polish, even the brush. One thing that should be noticed is that it is not very thick, it is actually very runny so it should be applied with caution since it is a stain, you don't want to stain outside your lips.
I didn't want to base my review only from personal experience so I decided to gather two of the prettiest girls I know, Daniela(before Benetint)..
And Jessica(before Benetint)..
This is the final result with TWO coats of Benetint.
After 45 minutes I noticed that Daniela's lips weren't as bright as they had been before, so I used the Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm to bring some color back..
So to be completely even I also applied the Tinted Lip Balm on Jessica (who actually kept the same bright color on her lips)
Benetint is a fun product to use, it looks good and it doesn't smell weird which is always a good thing. But the Hydrating Lip Balm actually seems like a better option.
Overall, they were both pleased with the result but we actually don't believe that it is long-lasting. While it does stay on for a while, it does disappear after you eat or drink something. It also tends to accumulate in the inner part of the bottom lip. One good thing however, it really is smudge proof.
Would we wear this again? Yes, but only until it runs out because it is expensive.
Would I buy again? No, there are so many (cheaper) products out there which I'm sure do a better job.
The real (and unexpected) winner here is the product that wasn't even supposed to be reviewed, the Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm.
